Mikkel Hansen THE WORLD’S BEST HANDBALL PLAYER IS MAKING A DIFFERENCE MIKKEL HANSEN IS CURRENTLY PLAYING IN PSG HANDBALL. HE WAS VOTED THE IHF WORLD PLAYER OF THE YEAR IN 2011 AND 2015 BY THE INTERNATIONAL HANDBALL FEDERATION. The past year has been a memorable one for Mikkel Hansen. In the summer of 2016, he was awarded Most Valuable Player in the Olympics after the Danish National Handball Team earned its first handball gold medal at the Olympic Games. And what a victory! Mikkel Hansen is a world-renowned player with a track record of results and success, but the ambition doesn’t stop there. The 29-year-old player leads by example through his charity project MH24 – Mikkel Against Bullying. His project comprises a handball camp for children with the purpose of fighting bullying, increasing tolerance as well as teaching children how to be a good friend and teammate. With an ambition of using his popularity to do good, Mikkel has joined forces with several like-minded associations and organisations, including hummel®. As a pioneer and unique character, Mikkel has the ability to really make a difference and is willing to do so. It’s those qualities that make Mikkel Hansen and hummel® natural partners and why we support his mission to stand up against bullying for vulnerable children.
