This report sets out to account for and communicate on the corporate social responsibilities of THORNICO A/S. In doing so, the report will elaborate on THORNICO’s approach to CSR called Company Karma, explain how this approach is materialized through socially responsible actions in and around the company, evaluate on its key actions, and elaborate on future plans and processes for strengthening and improving Company Karma in the THORNICO World. These topics will be referred to throughout the entire report, yet divided into three main parts: Part 1 presents an overview of the company in order to provide a contextual insight of the business areas, in which THORNICO is engaged. Furthermore, this part conceptualizes the Company Karma business philosophy and provides an overview of the socially responsible policies it represents. Finally, this part will also introduce the many Company Karma projects, which are an integrated part of the THORNICO group companies’ commitment to social responsibility. Part 2 elaborates in detail on the guiding policies within Company Karma in relations to the three focus areas of rights, human and globe. Through specific case examples from different THORNICO companies and employees, this part will also show how these policies are currently brought into action and creating positive and sustainable results in group companies all around the world. Finally, Part 3 will introduce the future plans and processes through the Company Karma Strategy. Based on the UN Guiding Principles for Business and Human Rights, THORNICO is currently introducing a step-by-step strategy for gradually expanding and executing all policies embraced in the Company Karma philosophy. The final part will elaborate on the motivation behind each step in this strategy and lay out the expectations for its execution. Page 2
